Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and caring Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our KHSC@Home Team as a Home Health Care Professional. As part of this role, you will provide clinical care to patients with varying diagnoses, abilities, and goals in their homes. You will use your clinical skills to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality home health care, delivered with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, monitor, and deliver nursing care to clients in a community setting as per the nursing care plan and in accordance with all required internal and external professional practice standards.
- Provide care according to the established care plan, ensuring that the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort, and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent.
- Perform routine nursing duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and Standards of Nursing Practice as defined by the provincial licensing body.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed/Registered Practical Nursing Program;
- Current registration with the provincial licensing body;
- Previous experience in community care, acute care sector, long-term care, or demonstrated clinical competencies;
- Positive interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written;
- Critical thinking and analytical skills, decision-making skills, and ability to prioritize;
- Clinical certificates considered an asset.
