Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Manager to join our team at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to lead patient care and experience initiatives, leveraging your expertise in nursing and leadership to drive positive outcomes.

About the Role

This role will involve providing clinical leadership in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients in a manner consistent with professional standards and best practices. You will work closely with interprofessional teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and coordinate care and discharge planning.

  • Leads care planning rounds, patient/family/caregiver education, and ensures adherence to protocols, quality standards, and policies.
  • Cultivates a positive environment for patient wellbeing and supports staff in their roles.
  • Takes primary responsibility for resource utilization decisions, ensuring necessary staffing, equipment, and supplies are in place.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
  • Leadership experience within nursing and the interprofessional team.
  • Ability to identify trends, patterns, and facilitate evidence-based practice.
  • Capacity to ease human suffering through compassionate care giving.
  • Proficient clinical skills and sound decision making for coordinating care and patient flow.
  • Accountability to responsibilities as set out in Occupational Health & Safety Act and compliance with KHSC policies and procedures.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental coverage, pension plan, and opportunities for professional development.
