Job Summary

The Family Centre Coordinator is a key role within YWCA NWT, responsible for the management and administration of the Family Centre drop-in program and toy lending library for children aged 0-6 years old.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Family Centre, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children and families.
  • Administration: Manage program schedules, coordinate with staff and volunteers, and maintain accurate records.
  • Childcare: Provide high-quality childcare services, including supervision, education, and support for children aged 0-6 years old.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for children and staff.
  • Human Resources: Assist with recruitment, training, and evaluation of staff and volunteers.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a childcare or program management role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong organizational and time management skills.
