Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced hematopathologist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Central Zone /Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax.

About Us

The Division of Hematopathology is a busy clinical service providing state-of-the-art diagnostic methods and research opportunities. We have active Royal College residency training program in Hematopathology, as well as fellowship programs in Hematopathology and Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert diagnosis and management of hematological disorders
  • Pursue research opportunities in morphology, molecular pathology, bone marrow transplantation, coagulation disorders, transfusion medicine, flow cytometry, and HLA typing
  • Contribute to the education and training of residents and fellows
Requirements

Eligibility for RCPSC certification in General Pathology or Anatomical Pathology with additional fellowship training in Hematopathology is required. Alternatively, applicants may hold RCPSC certification in Hematopathology.
