As a Site Account Manager, you will be part of our sales and services team, responsible for building and maintaining active long-term relationships with key decision-makers at the site level. Your primary goal will be to continuously promote Metso's value-adding offering and drive profitable business growth from allocated sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Know and document key people at the site, their responsibilities, and decision-making authority.
  • Decide and have full visibility on customer activities like visits and meetings by any Metso function.
  • Ensure seamless cooperation with customers and Metso functions, seeking and coordinating the best resources and channels for customer-facing activities.
  • Understand customer business and argue Metso's added value.
  • Target and deliver profitable business growth from allocated sites.
  • Drive site sales activities and related strategic planning with the cross-organizational site account team.
  • Understand customer Capex and Opex-related decisions and buying timetables.
  • Ultimately responsible for Metso's business development, aiming to enhance a long-term partnership.
  • Ensure all leads and opportunities are correctly managed in CRM, maintaining and sharing information on installed base, performance, and shut-down dates.
  • Conduct continuous business reviews with the customer and Metso teams.
  • SAM has the authority to decide on resource use for promotional customer work according to plan and budget.
  • Lead a unified Metso approach towards the customer at the dedicated site, ensuring efficient information sharing between customer and Metso's organization.
  • Responsible for documenting and following up on findings, concerns, and problems at the site, also together with the customer, based on Metso's continuous improvement principles.
  • SAM vigilantly supports Accounts Receivable and payment collections as may be required.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in managing key accounts within the minerals or metals industry.
  • Greater than 60% of time spent on site.
  • Experience in sales, account management, and customer relationship management.
  • Experience in working in or closely with sales, product management, and services.
  • Knowledge of CRM-based systems.
  • A high level of computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to be both strategic and tactical, seeing the big picture, planning, and organizing effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Customer business and industry understanding.
  • Good common knowledge of the Metso portfolio.
  • Services business understanding.
  • Experience in a large matrix organization.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • Willingness to continuous personal learning.
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, a bias for action, and detail-oriented behaviors.
  • A high level of computer skills, including Excel, Word, Salesforce, and Outlook.
  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Strong communication, cooperation, interpersonal, and presentation skills to manage internal and external interfaces.
