We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at ArcelorMittal Long Products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and issue purchase orders, maintaining accurate purchasing records;
  • Conduct vendor pricing checks to ensure no unauthorized price increases;
  • Process all requisitions and issue purchase orders in a timely manner;
  • Expedite deliveries where necessary;
  • Resolve problem invoices and documentation within SAP to facilitate prompt A/P handling;
  • Lead the procurement aspect of the value plan related to contractor management;
  • Guide the RFQ process according to technical scope requirements;
  • Review contracts and support initiatives for cost savings;
  • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with operations teams;
  • Oversee supplier qualification processes on the health and safety platform;
  • Create suppliers on the corporate platform;
  • Purchase supplies at the most economical rate possible;
  • Identify new supply vendors and products;
  • Maintain spend to ensure budget adherence.
Requirements

To be successful as a Procurement Specialist, you will need:

  • A university degree in a relevant field;
  • At least 4-8 years' experience in a comparable position;
  • Excellent responsiveness with a sense of urgency;
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Proficiency in various IT tools, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and SAP;
  • A commitment to prioritizing health and safety in your daily work.
