Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to support the area of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). This role will be responsible for the ongoing implementation, evaluation and maintenance of the College's EDI Plan and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and maintain the College's EDI programs
  • Engage stakeholders to create an open and inclusive environment
  • Ensure AODA compliance and participate in the Accessibility Council
  • Support staff, faculty and students in all areas related to EDI
  • Manage training associated with EDI
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (Education, Psychology, Social Work or Human Resources)
  • Understanding and commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion principles
  • Experience in a similar role or work in the EDI area
  • Formal training and experience in investigations is an asset
  • Thorough knowledge of legislation related to EDI in both Ontario and British Columbia
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, MS Project)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • Excellent organization, time management, analytical and research skills

CCNM follows government or site-specific requirements with respect to vaccination and proof may be required based on the nature of the role.

The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) is Canada's premier, pan-Canadian academic institution for education and research in naturopathic medicine. Our graduates are eligible to write the licensing examinations for all regulated jurisdictions in Canada and the United States to become naturopathic doctors.
