About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Co-op Internship Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to support the development and implementation of our Co-op Internship Program, working closely with students, faculty, and employers to create meaningful work-integrated learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing employers to identify opportunities for student placements.
  • Research and analyze industry trends to inform program development and employer engagement strategies.
  • Provide advising and coaching to students on career-related skills development, job search strategies, and work-term site visits.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Work-Integrated Learning Programming and Development to develop and implement program plans and process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends, and apply this knowledge to inform program development and employer engagement activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience providing direct support to students in an experiential learning environment.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of best practices in advising, career coaching, and job search skills.
  • Experience developing and maintaining employer and/or industry partnerships.
  • Experience working with a different eLearning tool and learning management systems.
  • Experience in the area of experiential learning program development and evaluation.
  • Strong computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and email software.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and ROSI.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply complex community and university policies and regulations in their work.
