Job Description

CIMA+ is seeking a talented future engineer and leader to join our team as an infrastructure intern. You will actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications for condition assessment and rehabilitation projects, linear infrastructure, municipal engineering, site development, and participate in the major projects that emphasize quality and sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Engineering: Actively participate in the engineering design and preparation of drawings and specifications.
  • Project Coordination: Participate in the realization of studies or technical reports, support in Project & Utilities Coordination, and assist in completing design activities, calculations, engineering drawings, specifications, and regulatory applications throughout the projects.
  • Project Administration: Assist Project Managers in project control and project administration throughout the projects.
  • Technical Support: Using advanced computer software and technologies support in design and engineering drawings production, solve technical problems requiring research and in-depth analysis, and assume responsibility for compliance with the quality assurance system.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections as required to monitor construction progress.
  • Business Development: Contribute to proposal preparation and business development initiatives, develop visual presentations, and participate in the major projects that emphasize quality and sustainable development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree student in Civil Engineering.
  • Mastery of design and calculation tools.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of software: MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD (an asset), Civil 3D (an asset), Microstation (an asset), and InRoads (an asset).
  • Excellent ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize tasks and proactively report on work progress.
  • Good communication and writing skills.

The expected salary for this position ranges from $22.50 to $28.00 per hour, depending on your academic program, the number of credits earned, and your previous co-op or internship experience. The final offer and salary may be adjusted based on your unique profile.
