About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Co-op Internship Coordinator. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of our Co-op Internship Program, working closely with employers, students, and faculty to provide a high-quality work-integrated learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and foster relationships with potential and existing employers to promote work-integrated learning opportunities.
  • Liaise with contacts to facilitate and initiate outreach opportunities, ensuring a strong network of industry partners.
  • Research and analyze potential employers to recommend student placement opportunities, aligning with the program's goals and objectives.
  • Promote employer jobs and engagement on campus with students, enhancing their career development and employability.
  • Implement plans and process improvements for employer engagement activities, ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and trends, applying this knowledge to enhance the program's effectiveness.
  • Advise students on work-related recruitment processes and practices, providing valuable guidance and support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience providing direct support to students in an experiential learning environment.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of best practices in advising, career coaching, and job search skills.
  • Experience developing and maintaining employer and/or industry partnerships.
  • Experience working with different eLearning tools and learning management systems.
  • Experience in experiential learning program development and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and ROSI.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply complex community and university policies and regulations.

  • Experience working in a university environment in the area of co-op and/or internship programs.
