Role Responsibilities:
The Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the Experiential Education Unit (EEU) by:
- Establishing and nurturing partnerships with employers to facilitate student placements.
- Conducting thorough research to identify potential employers and assess opportunities for student engagement.
- Organizing and executing events that connect students with industry professionals.
- Providing guidance to students regarding university policies and career development strategies.
- Monitoring student progress and ensuring they meet program requirements.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the co-op program.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in student support within an experiential learning context.
- Strong understanding of career coaching and job search methodologies.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining employer partnerships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
