As a seasoned Principal Consultant in our Global HPC Professional Services team, you will have the opportunity to use your experience and skills in a dynamic, complex organization and to deliver across our major customer sites.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for deciphering complex RFP requirements related to facility power and cooling infrastructure and helping IT architects design an IT solution that fits within those limitations. You will also architect complex power and cooling solutions for air and water-cooled IT solutions, working closely with key stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of requirements and success criteria.

This role represents a rewarding opportunity to lead high-profile engagements as a technical consultant in the power and cooling subject matter area. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with sales and critical engineering subject matter experts to determine the solution scope and projected costs, capturing the solution description and reviewing it with key stakeholders, and driving the build vs. buy decisions as needed.

You will be actively involved in the physical installation of complex IT systems that are air or water-cooled and provide engineering guidance over a wide range of disciplines, including power/electrical, mechanical, thermal, plumbing, and controls. Effective project management of vendors contracted to provide separate pieces of the solution is also essential.

To be successful in this position, you will need 8+ years of experience working in technology disciplines such as power/electrical or mechanical/thermal engineering, as well as an understanding of data center and IT solution power delivery architectures. Experience in providing effective leadership in engagements as a technical consultant in the power and cooling subject matter area is highly desirable.

The salary range for this position is estimated at $160,000-$190,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications. Bonus and/or commission may also be considered. Lenovo's various benefits can be found online.
