About This Role

This exciting opportunity is part of our ThinkSystem Server Development organization, where you will be responsible for developing innovative server designs to meet customer and business needs. You will work on organic designs that expose you to the latest technologies from Lenovo and its development partners.

The role entails solving unique client challenges through custom solution development. As a server hardware development engineer, you will be an integral member of a team that drives complex server design validation.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in x86 or AMD architecture and hardware development
  • At least 2 years of experience performing functional validation of complex designs, including CPUs
  • Proven ability to set up server hardware and software and provide technical support for extended teams (mechanical, S&V, etc.)

We value expertise in Linux/Windows operating systems, shell scripting (BASH/Perl/Python and Windows Power Shell), and demonstrated successful hardware design execution on a project with engineering team members located in multiple geographies. Business acumen is essential for engaging with various functional teams to take projects from concept to production.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
