Job Overview

The City of Toronto is seeking an experienced Licensing Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with various regulations and by-laws, conducting research and analysis, and providing advice and guidance to stakeholders.

Salary & Benefits

$43.58 - $47.75 per hour (TF0551, Wage Grade 13), along with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct compliance audits and examinations to ensure licensees are meeting regulatory requirements
  • Research and analyze data to inform policy and procedural developments
  • Develop and maintain databases and records to track compliance and enforcement activities
  • Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on compliance matters
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to identify emerging trends and best practices
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in audit, quality assurance, or related field
  • Extensive experience conducting research, analyzing data, and communicating findings
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulations, legislation, and policies
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively
Working Environment

This role will involve working in a fast-paced environment with a team, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to travel to various work sites within the City of Toronto as required.
