Mergers and Acquisitions Manager

About the Role:
Volaris Group is seeking a highly skilled M&A Manager to join our team. As a key member of our corporate development team, you will be responsible for managing acquisition opportunities, including valuation, negotiation, due diligence, and investment rationale and approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage acquisition transactions from initial evaluation through to integration, including financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, and investment approval.
- Identify vertical market software businesses that meet our strategic criteria and add new prospects to our proprietary database of industry contacts.
- Engage owners, shareholders, and other stakeholders in meaningful dialogues and nurture leads regularly and over long timelines.
- Work closely with our M&A business development team to ensure acquisition opportunities are being effectively nurtured and handled.
- Plan, develop, and conduct prospecting campaigns through LinkedIn, email, calling, attendance at trade shows, and in-person meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business/corporate development, investment banking at a boutique firm, PE firm, or B2B start-up.
- High curiosity and drive to connect with business owners and learn their stories.
- Strong telephone communication skills and capable of establishing and building rapport remotely.
- Solid understanding of company financial information and solid experience in financial modeling.
- Solid experience in Excel and PowerPoint.
