Senior IT Project Manager, Mergers and Acquisitions Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned IT Project Manager to lead projects in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and new sites, focusing on Information Services to enable business solutions.

About the Role
  • Partner with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead IT projects with a focus on business targets, delivering complete projects on time, within budget, scope, and high quality.
  • Drive the delivery model in alignment with BASF Digital Services strategy targets.
  • Lead large cross-functional, cross-regional project teams throughout the project phases in a global environment.
  • Set up project organization, identify relevant roles, and staff the project team.
  • Ensure project process compliance, support project approval and change management process, achieve project stage gates, and provide status reporting.
Requirements
  • Masters degree / University degree of Applied Sciences degree (Information Technologies, Business IT, Business Administration) or related field.
  • PMP Certification or similar.
  • At least 5 years professional experience in project management, including mergers & acquisitions projects and familiarity with IT challenges.
  • SAP ERP experience is a plus.
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and communication skills.
  • Well-developed conflict management skills and strategic thinking capabilities.
