Adecco Canada is currently seeking a skilled Senior Mental Health Specialist to join a dedicated team supporting seniors facing mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will be experienced in crisis support and intervention, with a focus on helping seniors through recovery and harm reduction approaches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle crisis calls initiated by clients, family members, friends, healthcare providers, and community agencies, assessing immediate needs and determining next steps.
  • Conduct client needs and risk assessments to develop personalized care plans that include both short- and long-term objectives.
  • Provide short-term crisis stabilization case management services, including assessments, intensive case management, long-term planning, and follow-up services as appropriate.
  • Refer clients and their caregivers to a range of community resources, including primary care, financial aid, food programs, assisted devices, and social/recreational programs.
  • Participate actively in developing, implementing, and evaluating the Crisis Outreach Service through strategic planning, meetings, and research initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • University degree or Community College Diploma in Social Services or a related field; BSW or MSW is an asset.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience in crisis support and intervention, particularly in a senior care setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of senior-specific issues, including mental health, substance use, and other complex health challenges.
  • Experience with harm reduction and recovery-oriented approaches is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management and referring clients to appropriate services.
  • Ability to work independently, but also collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Client Information Systems, and web browsing.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated hourly salary for this role is $32-$35 per hour, depending on experience. Adecco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage once qualified, 4% vacation pay paid out weekly, and access to free training programs.
