The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is a world-renowned institution dedicated to addressing the complex issues surrounding mental health.

We are seeking a highly skilled Engagement Facilitator to join our team, working in close collaboration with The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and the Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health (GH-CCMH).

Job Overview

This part-time, contract position (12 months) offers an exceptional opportunity to work on the CAMH-SickKids-Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health Child & Youth Mental Health Collaborative project.

As an Engagement Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in supporting various projects within the collaborative, focusing on coordinated access, clinical pathways, information accessibility, stakeholder engagement, data, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Co-chair the Patient Family Advisory Committee (PFAC) Advisory for the Child and Youth Mental Health Collaborative Program.
  2. Provide ongoing support and liaison services between working groups and the Project Team.
  3. Offer guidance and best practices on engaging with communities, particularly equity-deserving communities.
  4. Collaborate with working group members and local operational teams to assess needs.
  5. Prepare and present reports, summaries, and analyses to stakeholders and senior leadership, documenting project outcomes and impact.
  6. Support the development of a Key Partners engagement and change management strategy through consultations with the Key Partners working group, community, and other hospital partners.
  7. Identify relevant communities impacted by challenges affecting child and youth mental health services.
  8. Communicate regularly with community partners to provide updates on project progress, successes, and challenges.
  9. Identify opportunities for engagement with local tables, working groups, and forums to promote the work of the Child and Youth Mental Health Collaborative.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. A minimum 3–5 years of experience working in a patient-facing and/or family-facing role.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated experience in presentation, group facilitation, and working with patients and families.
  3. A strong understanding of self-care, self-determination, and issues facing patients and their families in the context of mental illness or addiction.
  4. Superior interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients, staff, internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  5. An ability to work effectively as a team member in a dynamic and fast-paced interprofessional environment.
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  7. Familiarity with MS Office.
  8. Demonstrated commitment to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion objectives.
Assets

Candidates with lived experience as a recipient of mental health and/or addictions services or as a family member of a child/youth who has received such services may possess valuable insights and perspectives.

Experience working within a hospital environment is also considered an asset.

Compensation Package

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
