Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Educational Counsellor to join our team at Canadian International Secondary School Inc. The successful candidate will provide academic guidance and support to students, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic guidance and support to students, including helping them to set and achieve academic goals
  • Assist students in developing study skills and strategies to improve their academic performance
  • Help students to explore their interests and career options, and provide guidance on post-secondary education and career paths
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to provide a comprehensive support system for students
  • Develop and implement programs and activities to promote student engagement and motivation
  • Provide referrals to external resources and services as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
