Job Title: Educational Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Educational Counsellor to join our team at the Canadian Ultrasound Institute and Research Centre Corp.

Job Summary:

The Educational Counsellor will provide guidance and support to students, parents, and teachers on educational, career, and vocational issues. This role requires a strong understanding of academic programs, study skills, and career development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Counsel students on academic and career goals, and provide guidance on course selection and academic planning.
  • Develop and implement guidance and counselling programs to support student success.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide support and resources for students.
  • Refer students to specialized services as needed, such as academic advising and career counselling.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in educational counselling.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working with students, parents, and teachers in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Work Environment:

The Educational Counsellor will work in a university or college setting, providing support to students and staff. This role requires a strong commitment to student success and a passion for education.
