Job Title: Residential Counsellor - Prime Worker

Are you passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges? Do you have a strong desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others? We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counsellor - Prime Worker to join our team at Broadview Village, a leading provider of support services for adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to residents, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Develop and implement individual support plans, ensuring residents' needs are met and goals are achieved
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, colleagues, and community members to ensure comprehensive support
  • Administer medication and coordinate health appointments as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Completed 2-3 year Developmental Services Worker Diploma or equivalent degree/diploma
  • Valid and current Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR Level C Certificate
  • Ability to achieve Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certificate upon hire
  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License and satisfactory Driver's abstract
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges
  • Experience with writing, implementing, and updating Individual Support Planning
  • Medication administration experience preferred
