Residential Counsellor

Broadview Village, a leading provider of support services for adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full Time Residential Counsellor to join our team.
About the Role:This is a full-time position that requires a strong passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. As a Residential Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing personalized support and care to our residents, promoting their independence, and fostering a sense of community.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote residents' personal development and well-being
- Provide advocacy and support to residents in accessing community resources and services
- Administer medications and maintain accurate records
- Ensure a safe and healthy living environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
- Collaborate with colleagues and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
- Completed Developmental Services Worker Diploma or related degree/diploma
- Valid Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR Level C Certificate
- Ability to achieve Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certificate
- Minimum 6-12 months' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges
