Job Title: Full-Time Residential Counsellor

Broadview Village, a leading provider of support services for adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Residential Counsellor to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. As a Residential Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing personalized support and care to our residents, promoting their independence, and fostering a safe and inclusive living environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote residents' personal growth and development
  • Provide advocacy and support to residents in accessing community resources and services
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure a clean and safe living environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with colleagues and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support to residents
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Completed Developmental Services Worker Diploma or related degree/diploma
  • Valid and current Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR Level C Certificate
  • Ability to achieve Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certificate
  • Minimum 6-12 months' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges
