Job Description

ADGA Group Consultants is currently recruiting multiple Life Cycle Material Management Technicians to join a long-standing defence program that we have supported for over 20 years.

We are seeking candidates who have retired from the Canadian Forces with a background working as a Technician in any field within the Military. If you have experience in technical documentation, equipment management, and logistics, please apply.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing life cycle material management to various products, including physical communication systems and tactical sensors. Key tasks will include:

  • Conducting engineering studies and analysis to provide technical solutions to stated technical/logistic or operational requirements/problems.
  • Preparing and issuing Material Change Notices (MCNs) whenever Engineering Changes (ECs) affect end-items.
  • Defining standards and criteria relevant to equipment or systems maintenance.
  • Preparing, modifying, or updating specifications and drawings.
  • Preparing, modifying, or updating maintenance handbooks, parts lists, operating manuals, and technical instructions and orders.
  • Performing configuration management.
  • Monitoring and reporting on material under management, including cataloguing activities, spares, replacement parts, obsolescence issues, upgrade options, and divestment activities.
  • Performing analysis of maintenance, repair, and overhaul data.
  • Investigating Unsatisfactory Condition Reports (UCRs) and Technical Failure Reports (TFRs).

Key qualifications include:

  • A valid SECRET level clearance with Public Works/PSPC.
  • Experience working as a Technician (any technical field) within the Canadian Forces.
  • Experience in the preparation of technical documentation, including requirements, specifications, checklists, bulletins, reports, proposals, and equipment disposal plans.
  • Ideal experience would include developing briefing notes and presentations, liaising with stakeholders, providing advice and guidance, and using recognized process frameworks or LCMM Handbooks.

Education Requirement:

  • A college diploma in Electronics, Computer Technology, or a relevant technical field required to support LCSS (Land Command Support Systems/Military related) OR
  • A demonstrated Qualification Level 6B (QL6B) in a relevant technical field (in Canadian Forces) required to support LCSS and a demonstrated minimum substantive rank of Warrant Officer in the Canadian Forces.
