Job Summary:

The Ontario Tech University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Instructor to join our faculty as a Sessional Lecturer. As a key member of our teaching team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and assessment to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver course materials and assessments that align with the university's curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Teach and engage students in a technology-enhanced learning environment, utilizing a variety of inclusive teaching and learning strategies.
  • Prepare and grade all course materials and assignments, and be available for consultation with students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Participate in departmental and faculty meetings to contribute to the development of academic programs and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant area of Health Sciences.
  • PhD preferred.
  • Member in good standing as a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated teaching excellence in Health Sciences in a post-secondary environment.
  • Experience with the Learning Management System, Canvas.
  • Ability to deliver classes remotely using online modalities.
