Job Description

Job Title: Academic Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Instructor to teach a course at Ontario Tech University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a course that meets the needs of students and aligns with the university's academic standards.
  • Prepare and grade all course materials and assignments.
  • Be available for consultation with students during and after the course session.
  • Work collaboratively with other faculty members and staff to achieve academic goals.
  • Stay current with developments in the field and incorporate new ideas and technologies into the course.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience teaching in a technology-enhanced learning environment.
  • Knowledge of educational technologies and their application in teaching and learning.
