About the Opportunity

As a member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide collaborative, holistic care on the primary to quaternary care continuum. Your expertise in social work will focus on the relationships between individuals and their environments, integral to psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. With a strong emphasis on the social determinants of health, you will engage patients/clients in a dynamic and interactive process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. By building upon their strengths and focusing on existing coping strategies, problem-solving skills, past successes, and personal resources, you will make a meaningful difference in their lives.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a recognized university, current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers, and at least two years of post-BSW clinical experience. A deep understanding of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is essential, as is previous experience working in adult community mental health. You should be able to demonstrate a client-/family-centered approach, familiarity with various evidence-based treatment approaches, and excellent communication skills. Additionally, experience with group facilitation, biopsychosocial assessments, time management, and collaboration with community partners are highly valued. Proficiency in other languages, particularly French, is considered an asset.

Job Details
- Permanent full-time position
- 75 hours bi-weekly
- Shifts may include days, evenings, or weekends
- Travel to various locations will be required

Compensation and Benefits
$33.96 - $42.89 Hourly
