**About the Opportunity**
The Mental Health Social Worker is a crucial member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, providing collaborative and holistic care on the primary to quaternary care continuum. This role focuses on building relationships between individuals and their environments, promoting psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
We are seeking a skilled Social Worker who can engage patients/clients using a client-/family-centered approach. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adult community mental health and possess knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches for severe and persistent mental illness.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a recognized university
- Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers
- Two years post BSW related clinical experience required
- Knowledge and understanding of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
- Prior experience working in adult community mental health preferred
