Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Van Driver - Stewarding to join our team at Fairmont Banff Springs. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of supplies to various areas of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive, load, and unload supplies between loading docks and areas of the hotel in a secure and timely manner.
  • Assist departments with special deliveries on site or outside of the hotel.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any damages.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the delivery truck and loading docks.
  • Participate in the removal of garbage and recycling according to hotel and town rules.
  • Drive and deliver food and beverage to remote service locations.
  • Ensure inter-departmental communication and cooperation for better guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment and participate in health and safety initiatives.
  • Adhere to hotel environmental policies and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Class 5 driver's license with a comfort level of driving a 1-ton truck.
  • Current driver's abstract to be provided prior to the first day.
  • Previous experience an asset.
  • Ability to operate industrial machinery.
  • Constant lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, kneeling, and carrying up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours.
  • Exposure to kitchen equipment, sounds, fumes, chemicals, working in hot, humid, and cold environments.
  • Passionate and organized about maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
