Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team at Sun Peaks Resort for the upcoming summer season. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, presenting them with a menu and making recommendations as needed.
  • Check patrons' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  • Create daily cocktail specials and inform guests about the daily specials and any changes in the menu.
  • Be knowledgeable of the menu, ingredients of the food items, and how they are prepared.
  • Take and relay orders into the POS in an efficient manner, serving food and beverages to guests as per the course of an order.
  • Check with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and drinks, taking action to correct any problems.
  • Make drinks at the dispense bar for the restaurant guests.
  • Accurately and reliably perform closing duties and reconcile cash with total sales.
  • Be a continuous ambassador for Sun Peaks Resort and all activities and events throughout the summer season.

Requirements:

  • Professional, fun, and friendly personality, with the ability to build enthusiasm with guests under pressure and in routine situations.
  • Neat, tidy, and well-organized with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer's expectations.
  • Experience and a good understanding of a POS system.
  • Capability to multitask and prioritize jobs.
  • Well-presented and a team player.
