Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
  • Conduct inspections and repairs to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with our facilities team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to address operational needs and concerns.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working at heights, as required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of our operations team.
Requirements
  • Authorization to work in Canada.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • High level of experience with technology and mechanical systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • WHMIS certification is preferred.
  • Recent Emergency Response Training and current First Aid (OFA-LV1) Training are considered assets.
