We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
- Conduct inspections and repairs to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with our facilities team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to address operational needs and concerns.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working at heights, as required.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of our operations team.
- Authorization to work in Canada.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- High level of experience with technology and mechanical systems.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- WHMIS certification is preferred.
- Recent Emergency Response Training and current First Aid (OFA-LV1) Training are considered assets.
