Job Title: Nurse Consultant - MS Clinic

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Consultant in the MS Clinic at University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC). This is a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to provide specialized care to patients with Multiple Sclerosis.

About the Role:
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with MS, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct educational sessions for patients, families, and healthcare providers on MS management and care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to MS care.

Requirements:
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Three years' recent related clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area, including one year in a supervisory/leadership/teaching role.
  • Completion of applicable Canadian Nursing Association (CNA) certificate in the designated clinical area and/or completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
