About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Guest Services Agent to join our team at the Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all who stay with us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm and friendly service to guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage guest registrations, room assignments, and check-ins/check-outs, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Process payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain a high level of cash handling accuracy.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, provide information on hotel services and amenities, and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure seamless communication and a high level of service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring a high level of service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Basic computer skills, with experience in hotel software and systems an asset.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
