Job Description

The successful candidate will be accountable for providing high-level administrative support to the Allied Health Community Manager. Key responsibilities include coordinating appointments, tracking and ensuring timely follow-up of work in progress, assisting in office/site administration operations, developing draft correspondence and reports, collating information and statistics, time keeping, recruitment support, establishing communication channels with other departments or external agencies, working closely with Managers and staff and responding to inquiries and/or redirecting as appropriate.

This role requires a flexible and anticipatory approach, advanced organizational skills, and ability to complete various responsibilities including project management, minute taking, development of spreadsheets/forms/complex documents, mail distribution, and other initiatives and projects as required across Edmonton Zone Allied Health Community.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education
  • Successful completion of a post-secondary secretarial/administrative support certificate from an accredited business school
  • Five years of office management or administrative experience
  • Strong formatting, grammar, syntax, and proof-reading skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to work and adapt within short timelines, deal with numerous interruptions, and work independently in a busy multi-tasking environment
  • Strong organizational skills, planning, and time management skills
  • Advanced proficiency with various computer applications including word processing, excel spreadsheets, Visio, email, e-people, oracle, MS Teams, Zoom, and internet

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (dependent on experience)
