About the Role
Amazon Canada is seeking an experienced business leader to join the Hardlines category team. The Senior Vendor Manager will be responsible for managing the P&L and setting the strategic direction for a large and diverse business within the Hardlines category.
The ideal candidate will have experience building strong relationships, driving significant top and bottom line results, and be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment. They must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent Amazon at all executive levels of vendor organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the P&L and set the strategic direction for the Hardlines category
- Work with highly strategic vendors to drive their business towards the next phase of growth
- Analyze data to identify key brands to target and build long-term relationships with key vendors
- Resolve any operational, logistical, or business issues and lead negotiations on Amazon's behalf
Requirements
- 5+ years of account management, project, or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
- Prior experience in retail buying, merchandising, or planning
