About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Advisor to join our Indigenous and Stakeholder Engagement team at WSP Canada. This position will play a key role in executing project deliverables and leading employees through project-related tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indigenous and stakeholder engagement, regulatory permitting, and exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of strategic planning and quality assurance.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage multiple projects and people simultaneously with excellent task and time management skills.
  • Consult with the public, private businesses, government agencies, and Indigenous groups to support projects with appropriate consideration given to their opinions and viewpoints.
  • Write and edit communication materials and engagement strategies for projects in a variety of sectors, including transportation, mining, and energy resources.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, public events, community liaison committees, community pop-up events, and virtual meetings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, business management, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years' work experience, with a strong focus on the resource or energy infrastructure sector.
  • Demonstrated success in team management and leadership, with a focus on fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write and edit for different clientele.
