Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Addiction Recovery Specialist to join our team at iRecover Treatment Centers. As an Addiction Recovery Specialist, you will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds who struggle with various addiction disorders. Your role will involve providing psychoeducation, individual and group therapy, and utilizing suitable intervention strategies and treatment approaches to support clients throughout their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of client strengths, problem areas, severity of dependence, and readiness to change.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans based on research, clinical expertise, and client history.
  • Offer education on addiction-related issues and available services.
  • Facilitate referrals to appropriate resources.
  • Provide counseling to individuals and family members throughout the recovery process.
  • Evaluate and document client progress.
  • Ensure seamless aftercare and follow-up support.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Social Work, Psychology, or Counselling, along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge or willingness to be trained in relevant regulations and standards.
  • Prior experience providing individual and group therapy is highly valued.
  • Treatment planning and group facilitation skills are essential.
  • Familiarity working with trauma, addictions, and mental health.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and strong communication skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and up-to-date training in suicide intervention and first aid/CPR.
  • A personal connection to the 12-step program is considered an asset.
  • A valid vulnerable sector criminal record check and driver's license are required.

Job Details:

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
