About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Penske Transportation Solutions. In this key role, you will be responsible for driving business outcomes through strategic HR initiatives and providing expert guidance on talent management, workforce planning, and labor relations.

Talent Management & Development

  • Develop and implement district-level succession plans to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Collaborate with managers to create impactful development plans, coaching them on effective people management, process improvement, and functional associate development.
  • Maintain accurate records of associate development progress and escalate concerns to the District Manager as necessary.

Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning

  • Analyze growth trends and collaborate with departments to identify optimal staffing levels, proposing adjustments as needed.
  • Prioritize recruiting efforts in conjunction with field recruiters and the District Manager, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Build relationships with local technical schools, universities, and colleges to attract top talent.

Associate and Labor Relations

  • Foster positive working relationships between associates and management, promoting a culture that embodies the Employee Value Proposition.
  • Provide advice on human resources policies, programs, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements to associates and management.
  • Investigate associate concerns, preparing summaries and collaborating with Area HR Managers on recommendations.

HR Expertise & Compliance

  • Remain informed about employment laws affecting locations and communicate compliance requirements to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate compensation parity and Associate Handbook acknowledgment compliance, escalating issues to Area HR Managers and centralized compensation as needed.
  • Ensure all company and legally mandated training obligations are met, including Harassment Prevention, Reasonable Suspicion, and Workplace Violence.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in HR business partnering, talent management, or a similar field. Your salary range is expected to be around $85,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on your location and qualifications.
