Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Site Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all on-site activities during the construction phase of a project. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. Key responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to understand project goals, plans, and specifications;
- Creating and maintaining a detailed construction schedule, ensuring all activities are properly sequenced and executed;
- Managing and leading on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers;
- Delegating tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring work progress to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards;
- Addressing any issues or conflicts that may arise among team members;
- Monitoring construction processes to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and industry standards;
- Conducting regular inspections to identify and rectify any deviations or deficiencies in workmanship;
- Implementing and enforcing strict safety protocols and practices to ensure a secure work environment for all personnel on the construction site;
- Coordinating with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the site;
- Acting as a liaison between project stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and resolutions;
- Documenting daily activities, issues, and decisions to maintain a comprehensive project record;

This role requires strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make decisions under pressure. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years of previous experience in ICI construction or a related field, preferably in a supervisory role. A high school diploma or equivalent relevant technical or construction-related education is preferred. Gold Seal Certification and LEED Accreditation are assets.

Requirements:
  • A minimum 5 years of previous experience in ICI construction or a related field, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent relevant technical or construction-related education is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction process, techniques, and terminology.
  • In-depth understanding, knowledge, and implementation of the Ontario occupational health and safety act as it relates to each project.
  • Gold Seal Certified and/or LEED Accredited is an asset.
