The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the administrative aspects of projects from pre-construction budgeting and scheduling to procurement, shop drawing/coordination development, construction, project turnover, and contract closeouts.

You will collaborate closely with the project team to ensure the successful delivery of projects, adhering to design documents and meeting client expectations.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the project team to achieve timely completion, stay within budget, and conform to design specifications.
  2. Assist the Project Director/Vice President in coordinating with various departments, including estimating, scheduling, procurement, labor relations, finance, accounting, and other services as required.
  3. Contribute to developing project bidding strategies with the project team.
  4. Participate in contract negotiations.
  5. Collaborate with the project Superintendent to create a logistics plan that enables contractors to work efficiently.
  6. Coordinate and integrate the activities of the project Superintendent, Assistant Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and other support staff.
  7. Establish priorities for the project staff based on owner and project requirements.
  8. Review and approve major purchase orders, change orders, and contractor/vendor requisitions.
  9. Hold regular meetings with contractors and the design team to review project progress.
  10. Monitor contractor/vendor pending costs reported by Reliance Construction.
  11. Review and approve project forecasts, schedules, cost estimates, and financial reports.
  12. Ensure the owner is informed of all deviations from the project baseline data.
  13. Coordinate with the Project Director/Vice President on client business-related contact/correspondences.
  14. Conduct monthly project/client meetings to review project progress and address any issues.
  15. Obtain approvals from the client for changes to the project.
  16. Prepare and submit the final project report and promptly close out subcontracts.
  17. Obtain the client's acceptance of the work and sign-off for the completed project.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. A degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  2. A minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in construction project management.
  3. Current WHMIS certification and fall protection training.
  4. A working knowledge of scope of work covered by contracts.
  5. Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards, and project-related activities.
  6. Management skills and administrative experience.
  7. Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Estimated Salary Range

This role offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
