Technical Equipment Specialist

Job Summary:
OPEX Corporation is seeking a part-time Field Service Technician to join our team. This role requires flexibility with hours, including occasional weekends, due to customer demands. The successful candidate will have high exposure to customer service, visiting clients to resolve technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mail opening, document scanning, and/or material handling equipment.
- Install and set up new equipment.
- Interact with customers to determine problems.
- Complete field service reports.
- Keep customers informed of repair progress and answer questions.
- Collaborate with management and other personnel to analyze and correct equipment performance issues.
- Submit weekly online timecards and expense reports.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Electronics or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable vehicle.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds independently.
- Ability to maneuver job sites, including small spaces around equipment.
Work Environment:
- May work in office or warehouse environments.
- Extended commuting periods during shifts.
- Must be able to lift heavy machine parts.
- Ability to maneuver job sites, including small spaces around equipment.
- Squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, and reaching forward will occur while on the job.
