The prideHealth Navigator will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, community groups, and stakeholders to develop and implement programs and services that support the health and well-being of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals.
About the RoleThe prideHealth Navigator will be responsible for:
- Providing guidance and support to 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals in accessing healthcare services and resources
- Developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers, community groups, and stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement culturally sensitive care plans
- Providing education and training to healthcare providers on 2SLGBTQIA+ health issues and best practices
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare services for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional who possesses:
- A Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field
- Registration with a relevant professional regulatory association (if applicable)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, including clinical practice and community-based work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of 2SLGBTQIA+ health issues and best practices
Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
