We are seeking an experienced Data Management Lead to drive our digital initiatives forward in our agile organization. This role will be responsible for championing agile methodologies within the organization, promoting best practices, and ensuring that agile principles are adhered to across teams.


About the Role

This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to lead the implementation of digital solutions that drive business value.



  • Lead Agile Teams: Champion agile methodologies, promote best practices, and ensure adherence to agile principles across teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between agile teams and external stakeholders, effectively communicating progress, challenges, and achievements.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning sessions to align agile team efforts with long-term business objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead retrospectives and other continuous improvement efforts to analyze team processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes that enhance productivity and quality.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and address risks that could impact the delivery of value, working with teams and stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data management, agile methodologies, and leadership, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.


Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will require:



  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration)
  • Minimum 7 years of demonstrated relevant experience
  • Excellent project management abilities
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience working with business to define Epics/user stories/features, as well as conducting impact analysis
  • Present technical solutions based on the business requirement of the Veeva system
  • Able to support technical upgrades on a quarterly basis by conducting technical impact assessments, addressing any technical issues, supporting environment management, supporting testing, and documenting changes per the SLC process
  • Maintain and report any issues and communicate effectively to all stakeholders during project/enhancement phases, service disruptions, and during technical upgrades
  • Knowledge of support processes - Incident Management, Problem Management

Preferred Qualifications

3-5 years demonstrated experience with Veeva Vault Clinical/Regulatory, Agile Champion: Adherence to DevOps principles and a proven track record with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.


Salary: The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.


Location: This position is remote and is based in Ontario, Canada. Astellas Pharma offers a hybrid working solution allowing time to connect with colleagues at the office with the flexibility to also work from home.
