Astellas Canada is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to drive our digital initiatives forward in our agile organization.

Our agile operating model consists of two components – Digital Capability and Digital Execution. Digital Execution focuses on aligning multiple missions around business goals and facilitating collaboration on a larger scale. Digital Capability, on the other hand, focuses on the growth and development of individuals within a specific expertise area.

The Solution Architect will possess an in-depth, cross-domain knowledge expertise on business applications, capabilities, and processes, enabling them to design, implement, and contribute innovative solutions that optimize DigitalX design architecture landscape.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile development and experience in leading collaboration with stakeholders, analyzing functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring consistency design standards, providing technology recommendations, creating solution prototypes, and managing epic story constraints like cost, quality, scope, and resources.

The Solution Architect will be responsible for:

  • Designing comprehensive application solutions that address business needs and challenges.
  • Evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and platforms for application development projects.
  • Working closely with business analysts, project managers, and Digital teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Providing technical leadership throughout the development life cycle, from initial concept through to implementation and support.
  • Designing and overseeing the integration of new applications with existing systems and software.
  • Ensuring application solutions are optimized for performance and user experience.
  • Ensuring application architectures comply with relevant regulations and standards.
