Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Raven Lodge and Nordic Centre at Mount Washington Alpine Resort. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of staff to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Raven Lodge and Nordic Centre, including rentals, guest services, retail, café, and outdoor trail maintenance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and products.
  • Monitor and control budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Provide coaching and training to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Tourism, Hospitality, and/or Adventure Tourism is an asset.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Physical ability to work in a outdoor environment and lift heavy objects.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the Comox Valley and surrounding area.
  • Experience working in a winter resort environment.
  • Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS.
