Rodd Hotels and Resorts is seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team as a Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as supervising kitchen staff and helpers.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, ensuring that our guests receive high-quality meals.
- Cooking and Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that our kitchen is well-stocked and organized.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests and staff.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with heavy loads, overtime required, and physically demanding tasks.
