About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the defence and security industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth and revenue in the defence and security industry.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including defence and security companies, government agencies, and industry partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and joint ventures.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing plans to promote CADSI's products and services to the defence and security industry.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the CADSI team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the defence and security industry.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the defence and security industry, including its trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the defence and security industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and revenue in the defence and security industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct market research and analysis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office365, including SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial planning.
  • Knowledge of the defence and security industry, including its trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages.
  • Experience in managing consultants and service providers.
