Job Summary

Bombardier is seeking a highly skilled Senior Counsel, Commercial Contracts to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide legal support to various internal teams, including contracts, sales, marketing, finance, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal support to internal teams, including contracts, sales, marketing, finance, and more.
  • Negotiate multi-million dollar cross-border agreements related to the sale of private jets.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including letters of intent, aircraft leases, and secured financing instruments.
  • Manage disputes, combining business acumen with risk mitigation abilities.
  • Train internal stakeholders on legal concepts to prevent litigation.
  • Collaborate with a team of business and legal minds to achieve the best results for Bombardier.
Requirements
  • Practicing member of the bar of at least one Canadian province or territory or one U.S. state, preferably Québec and/or New York.
  • Civil law and common law degree an asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience practicing commercial or transactional law or complex commercial litigation, with at least 3 years of practice within a renowned law firm.
  • Excellent legal and business acumen, strong interpersonal and persuasion skills, and strong drafting skills in English.
  • Bilingual – French and English.
  • Proven experience in or knowledge of the aviation industry an asset.
