Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert legal support to various internal teams, including contracts, sales, marketing, finance, and flight operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal support to internal teams, including contracts, sales, marketing, finance, and flight operations.
  • Negotiate multi-million dollar cross-border agreements related to the sale of private jets.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including letters of intent, aircraft leases, secured financing instruments, and marketing agreements.
  • Manage disputes, combining business acumen with risk mitigation abilities.
  • Train internal stakeholders on legal concepts to prevent litigation.
  • Collaborate with a team of business and legal minds to achieve the best results for Bombardier.
Requirements:
  • Practicing member of the bar of at least one Canadian province or territory or one U.S. state, preferably Québec and/or New York.
  • Civil law and common law degree an asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience practicing commercial or transactional law or complex commercial litigation, with at least 3 years of practice within a renowned law firm.
  • Excellent legal and business acumen, strong interpersonal and persuasion skills, and strong drafting skills in English.
  • Availability to work flexible, extended, and/or irregular working hours, and to travel on short notice.
  • Bilingual – French and English.
